Behold the darkness
Its dreadful you say?
If you ask me
it never is so elusive
As your fleeting sunlight
Which hardly has the mood to shine
Somedays it frolics around
With dark clouds
And somedays it burns me up
Searing through the core of my eyes
Somedays I need it to keep me warm
And it leaves me in the cold instead
But the dark is deep and poignant
It never leaves any room for doubt
Or pretense
It always fills me up with a gratitude
For stubborn night
Atleast it gives me a permanence
Even if transitory
